As part of the strategy to aggressively promote the setting up of senior ministries in the different world regions, the WOA Senior Ministry Executive Director, Rafael Perez, and the Representative for the India Region, Pastor Peter Beta, held a conference to discuss the current situating and design a course of action.
Pastor Peter reported that there is a Senior Ministry in the region at the Bangalore church. Te chapter has been working consistently since its creation, carrying out several activities within the church and also in the community. The regional representative informed that there is another hutch that will join in the near future and that there is a lot of seniors in that church. Even though they do not speak English there is a good opportunity to bring the Love of god to the community through the work of those seniors and he agreed to keep the Executive Director informed of any new development in this area.
The pastor of this new church is receiving training with Pastor Peter right now and as so as it is finished the possibility of setting up a senior ministry there will be more certain.Pastor Peter explained that in his church there are no seniors for the moment. The Executive Director explained that even a young adult can become a senior leader, that the most important feature to be one is to be willing to assume the challenge. Pastor Peter promised to evaluate the church members and see if anyone of them can be chosen to start the senior chapter.
This conference inscribes itself into the strategy of approaching regional representatives one by one than the fellowship is implementing. Let us pray for its successful outcome.
